Not an honest human being, I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy go there
Super disappointed that you can’t trust people and especially one in a small town who people recommend. I brought in 2.4 g of 14 karat gold scrap from my grandmother‘s estate that I’ve had in my purse for a while. I brought it in without doing my homework because I wouldn’t think I’d need to, but unfortunately it turns out I do. 2.4 g I was given $60 and then after I left a family member pointed out to me what it should have been and how much I was just taken advantage of. That’s really unfortunate, it’s a weird business motto in a small town that appears to have a lot of struggling businesses. I don’t understand how screwing over a potential customer in the future is beneficial as a business and then just as a human being. Thanks for taking advantage of someone dealing with their grandmother‘s estate. Lesson learned, from now on I will never enter a business and assume that they’re going to be honest ever again. I don’t know anything about gold, but after having to be lectured by a family member and then researching on my own, it turns out I was paid 29% of the scrap value which is insanely low and almost an insult. You really shouldn’t take advantage of people just because they don’t have the expertise, that’s why they came to you.. I took picture of the scrap gold on a scale at home before I brought it because I was asked to keep documentation. I didn’t have to keep that documentation because I was worried about the jewelers integrity, it was for another purpose. I guess now it serves two purposes, unfortunately.
