Goldiew Badge Guidelines
Goldiew awards two badges to the precious metals businesses listed on our platform: the Verified Business badge and the Top-Rated Business badge. If you run a gold or coin shop, a jewelry buying business, a pawn shop, or a Gold IRA company, they are the fastest way to show visitors that a trusted third party vouches for you. This page explains what each badge means, why it belongs on your website, and how to use it correctly.
Why put your badge on your website
Buying or selling gold involves large amounts and real caution. A verifiable third-party badge answers your visitor’s first question: can I trust this business?
The badge links to your Goldiew page, where prospects read what real customers say about you instead of taking your word for it.
Claiming, verification, the badges, and the embed code cost nothing. Goldiew does not sell badges, rankings, or reviews.
Place it once, it updates itself. The image is served by Goldiew and always reflects your live status. The day you earn Top-Rated, the badge already on your site upgrades automatically. You never touch the code again.

What the badges mean
Verified Business
The Verified Business badge confirms that a listing has been claimed by the real owner of the business and that the Goldiew team has reviewed and approved the claim. It speaks to identity, not to quality.
When you see this badge, it means:
- the business information (hours, address, services, contact) is maintained by the business itself,
- the business answers its customer reviews under its own name,
- Goldiew has verified that the person managing the page is authorized to represent the business.
Top-Rated Business
The Top-Rated Business badge is our highest recognition. It is reserved for verified businesses whose customers consistently vouch for them. It speaks to reputation, proven by reviews.
A business earns Top-Rated status when it meets both criteria:
- at least 5 published customer reviews on Goldiew, and
- an Excellent reputation under the Goldiew Safety Index, which weighs rating level, review recency, and authenticity signals.
Top-Rated status is recalculated continuously. It can be earned, and it can be lost: if a reputation drops below the threshold, the label leaves the page and any embedded badge adjusts on its own.

How a business earns its badge
How to add the badge to your website
- Log in to your Business Dashboard and open the Badges & Recognition tab.
- Copy the ready-to-use HTML code. It is available in SVG (recommended), PNG, and WEBP, in several sizes.
- Paste it where your visitors decide: homepage, footer, about page, or contact page. It also fits an email signature, social profiles, and printed materials next to your counter.
The official code always links back to your Goldiew business page. No file to host, nothing to update later.

Goldiew may revoke badge usage in case of misuse, misrepresentation, or attempts to manipulate reviews.
Frequently asked questions
Is the badge program free?
Yes. Claiming your business, verification, and both badges are free. Goldiew does not sell badges, rankings, or reviews.
Can I display the badge if I have not claimed my business?
No. The badge is tied to a verified claim. Claiming your business is free and takes a few minutes.
How is the Excellent reputation measured?
The Goldiew Safety Index combines the rating level of your published reviews with recency and authenticity signals. We do not publish the exact formula, for the same reason search engines do not: to keep it fair and hard to game. Genuine customer reviews are the only reliable way to move it.
Can I ask my customers for reviews?
Yes, and we encourage it. Ask every customer, not just the happy ones: a natural mix of reviews reads as more authentic and builds more trust with buyers. Do not offer incentives in exchange for reviews; Goldiew does not allow businesses to hide reviews or reward positive feedback.
What happens if my rating drops?
If your reputation falls below the Top-Rated threshold, the badge served through your embed code automatically switches back to the Verified Business badge. Nothing breaks on your site, and Top-Rated returns the same way it was earned.
Does the badge expire?
No expiration date. The badge reflects your current status on Goldiew: as long as you keep the status, you keep the badge.
Can I use the badge on several websites?
Yes. You can place the same code on every website that belongs to your business, and in your email signature or social profiles.
Which format should I use?
SVG is recommended: it stays sharp at any size and loads fastest. PNG and WEBP are available if your website builder does not accept SVG.
