When you submit a review, we collect and store the review content and any photos you attach, together with technical integrity signals: a salted hash of your IP address (never the raw address), your browser user agent, your account age and review history, and the confirmation status of your email address. We use these signals solely to detect fake or abusive reviews, as described on our How Goldiew Verifies Reviews page. Photos are re-encoded on upload and all embedded metadata, including GPS location and capture date, is permanently removed before storage. Guest review submissions made through an invitation link are held unpublished until you confirm your email address; unconfirmed submissions and the associated email address are deleted after 30 days.
Marketplace listings. If you consent when submitting a Get Offers request, we publish an anonymized listing on our public marketplace containing the item category, your city and state, your description and, unless you opt out, your photos (always stripped of location metadata). Your name and contact details are never published. You can withdraw the listing at any time by contacting [email protected].
Proof of purchase documents. If you choose to submit a proof of purchase to have your review verified, we store the document (image or PDF, re-encoded with embedded metadata removed) in a private area that is not publicly accessible. It is used solely by our team to decide whether your review earns the Verified label, is permanently deleted 90 days after the decision, and is never displayed publicly, unless you explicitly opt in on the upload page to also show a photo of the item on your public review. The decision itself is kept in our moderation records.
