Welcome to Goldiew. By accessing or using www.goldiew.com (the “Site”, “Platform”, or “Service”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.
1. About Goldiew
Goldiew is a public platform where users can write, read, and engage with reviews of businesses, as well as for business owners to manage their listings and engage with feedback.
2. Data Location and Hosting
All user data and content submitted to Goldiew is stored and processed exclusively in the United States, in Virginia, via our hosting provider SiteGround. Your data does not leave the U.S. All data handling is subject to our Privacy Policy.
3. User Eligibility
To use Goldiew, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be legally capable of entering into binding agreements
- Not be using the platform in violation of any applicable laws
4. User Accounts and Conduct
You may need to create an account to access some features. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or defamatory reviews
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Interfere with platform operation or use unauthorized scraping or automation tools
- Upload viruses, malicious code, or engage in disruptive behavior
5. User Reviews and Content
Users may post reviews and comments about businesses. By submitting content, you:
- Confirm it is your original work or you have permission to share it
- Grant Goldiew a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, publish, and display your content
Goldiew reserves the right to remove or moderate any content that violates these Terms or appears abusive, irrelevant, or unlawful, at its sole discretion.
Caution: Reviews are public. Do not include sensitive or personally identifiable information.
Photos. By attaching photos to a review, you confirm that you took them or have the right to share them and that they do not show identifiable people without their consent. You grant Goldiew a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, resize, and display these photos alongside your review. Uploaded photos are re-encoded and their embedded metadata, including location, is removed. Photos are moderated together with the review and may be declined or removed.
Verification and moderation. Every review passes automated integrity checks and human moderation before publication, as described on our How Goldiew Verifies Reviews page. Reviews originating from a confirmed customer relationship may carry a Verified label. We may decline or remove reviews that violate these Terms, and moderation decisions are logged.
6. Business Owner Use
Business owners may claim or create listings, respond to reviews, and submit business details. By doing so, you:
- Confirm you are authorized to act on behalf of the business
- Agree to provide accurate and lawful information
- Understand that responses to reviews will be public
Goldiew may request verification documentation to validate your business claim and reserves the right to remove or restrict listings if misuse or fraud is suspected.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Goldiew uses essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to improve user experience. Use of cookies is governed by our Privacy Policy. You may control cookie use through your browser settings.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform — including design, branding, logos, and software — is the property of Goldiew or its licensors. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission
- Use the Goldiew name, logo, or trademarks without authorization
9. Privacy and Data Use
Your use of Goldiew is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use your personal data. By using the platform, you consent to the practices described therein.

10. Financial Disclaimer
Goldiew does not provide financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind. All content on the platform, including reviews and ratings, is for informational purposes only and is based on user submissions. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on any content found on Goldiew.
11. Termination
Goldiew reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable laws.

12. Disclaimers
Goldiew is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including:
- That the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted
- That content is accurate or complete
- That user-submitted content is trustworthy
Goldiew disclaims all liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the platform, user reviews, or third-party links.
Goldiew undertakes reasonable efforts to review and moderate user-submitted content; however, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of all reviews. Some content may remain visible until identified and removed pursuant to our moderation policies. 13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goldiew, its affiliates, and its operator (Marc Pavageau) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
14. Third-Party Links
Goldiew may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse or control third-party content and are not responsible for their terms, policies, or practices.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in France, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
If you are a business registered in France, your relationship with Marc Pavageau, as the publisher, shall also be subject to applicable French legal requirements.
16. Modifications to These Terms
Goldiew may update these Terms occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the platform signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Additional Terms for Businesses
(Applies whenever you create, claim or manage a business listing on Goldiew or reply to reviews on its behalf.)
18.1 Authority to Act
By claiming or managing a listing you confirm that:
- The business is duly registered, and
- You are an authorised owner, employee or agent empowered to bind that business to these Terms.
Goldiew may request proof of this authority at any time.
18.2 Verification & Claiming
- Upon submitting a claim, the listing enters review until Goldiew completes verification.
- Goldiew may approve, refuse or later revoke a claim if misrepresentation or conflict is suspected.
18.3 Business-Supplied Information
- You must keep all information you add or edit (address, hours, description, images, etc.) accurate, lawful and up to date.
- By uploading business materials you grant Goldiew a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce that content in connection with the Service.
- Goldiew may display your updates alongside editorial data we hold for context and clarity.
18.4 Responding to Reviews
- You may post public replies only to reviews about the business you represent. Replies must be professional, relevant, and must not:
- Reveal private customer data,
- Contain abusive or discriminatory language,
- Offer incentives or threaten reviewers.
- Goldiew may moderate or remove any reply that violates these rules.
18.5 Prohibited Conduct for Businesses
- Create, solicit or purchase fake reviews.
- Attempt to bribe, coerce or intimidate reviewers.
- Scrape or misuse competitors’ data from Goldiew.
- Upload malware or otherwise interfere with site operation.
18.6 Visibility, Badges & Rankings
- A “verified” badge only confirms that Goldiew has matched the listing to an authorised representative; it is not an endorsement.
- Listing and review order are determined by Goldiew algorithms and may change without notice.
18.7 Fees & Future Services
Core listing tools are currently free. Goldiew reserves the right to introduce optional paid features; businesses will receive at least 30 days’ notice of any new charges.
18.8 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Goldiew, its operator and affiliates from any third-party claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Information or media you provide,
- Your breach of these Terms or of applicable law,
- Disputes with customers stemming from your listing or replies.
18.9 Suspension & Removal
Goldiew may suspend or delete a business listing, or withdraw Business-Owner privileges, if:
- The account is inactive for 12 months,
- Repeated policy breaches occur, or
- The business ceases trading or cannot be verified.

Review invitations. Businesses with a verified page may invite their customers to leave a review through the dashboard tools: a personal review link, a printable QR code, and email invitations sent by Goldiew on the business’s behalf. Invitations must target genuine recent customers. Businesses must not select recipients based on the sentiment they expect, offer incentives in exchange for reviews, or direct invitations at themselves, their employees, or competitors. Misuse may lead to suspension of these tools or of the business page.
Get Offers (seller requests). The Get Offers service introduces people who wish to sell precious metal items to independent businesses that may make purchase offers. Goldiew is not a party to any resulting transaction: we do not buy or sell items, do not handle payments, shipping or escrow, and do not guarantee that a request will receive offers, that any offer reflects market value, or that a transaction will complete. Offers are made by businesses from the seller’s description and photos and may be revised after physical inspection of the items. Sellers and businesses transact directly and under their own responsibility; we recommend completing in-person sales at the business premises and mail-in sales through the business’s insured, tracked shipping, with payment terms agreed before items change hands. If a business fails to honor an offer or behaves improperly, report it to [email protected]: Goldiew may suspend or remove a business from Get Offers at its sole discretion, and sellers remain free to publish a review of their experience. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Goldiew disclaims any liability arising from transactions initiated through Get Offers.
Marketplace public listing. With the seller’s consent given at submission, Get Offers requests appear as a public marketplace listing limited to the item category, city, state, description and, unless the seller opts out, the photos; the seller’s name and contact details are never published. Sellers can withdraw a public marketplace listing at any time by contacting [email protected], and Goldiew may unlist any request at its sole discretion.
